Gingerbread Decorating Ideas

There are a lot of ways to transform Fieldstone Bakery Gingerbread. Elevate your holiday snack plate with some of these ideas.

Gingerbread Rudolph

Rudolph the reindeer never looked so good! Use this icing recipe to get the smooth effect.

DIRECTIONS:

  • Unwrap a Fieldstone® Bakery Gingerbread. Flip it over and upside down.
  • Pipe brown frosting in the outline of the reindeer’s head, ears, and antlers within the shapes of the gingerbread’s head, arms, and legs. Then fill in the outline.
  • Add a red M&M for the nose. Then set the cookie aside for the frosting to harden.
  • Once the frosting is set, pipe two dots of darker brown frosting for the eyes.

 

Gingerbread Candy Cane

Try this easy idea to add some quick festive fun. Use this icing recipe to get the smooth effect.

DIRECTIONS:

  • Unwrap a Fieldstone® Bakery Gingerbread.
  • Pipe white frosting in the outline of the gingerbread. Then fill in the outline. Set the cookie aside for the frosting to harden.
  • Once the white frosting is set, pipe diagnol lines of red gel frosting.

 

Bundled-up Gingerbread

Baby, it’s cold outside! Get bundled with this cute idea for cold weather.

DIRECTIONS:

  • Unwrap a Fieldstone® Bakery Gingerbread.
  • Pipe white frosting on the gingerbread’s hands and head. Set the cookie aside for the frosting to harden.
  • Once the white frosting is set, pipe gel frosting in the color of your choosing over the white frosting.
  • Add a colordul gum-drop candy to the head for a hat pom-pom.

 

Festive Gingerbread Man

Sometimes it’s the simple things that add cheer to the season. A little splash of red and green (and maybe some chocolate pants) and voila!

DIRECTIONS:

  • Unwrap a Fieldstone® Bakery Gingerbread.
  • Dip the bottom half of the gingerbread into melted dipping chocolate. Set aside to harden.
  • Once the chocolate is set, pipe gel frosting in the color of your choosing over the chocolate. Get creative! Try polka dots or stripes or checks.
  • Add a couple candy buttons for some extra flair. Use frosting to affix them.
